Mission

To support community food sovereignty in the Olympia area by growing, exchanging, and educating about seeds.

Though I do not believe that a plant will spring up where no seed has been, I have great faith in a seed. Convince me that you have a seed there, and I am prepared to expect wonders - Henry D. Thoreau

We stand in protest to:

  1. The private ownership of genes;
  2. The prohibition of free seed exchange among farmers and gardeners;
  3. The international food distribution system that serves to displace families, farmers, animals, and to wipe out indigenous peoples, landraces, ecosystems, and food customs.
